Flame Keepers In Fires in the North Quest Bug? - Guild Wars Forums

Now, I'm NOT talking about the bug that everyone knows (where the quest marker tells you to go to Asalon City instead of back to the Duke).

Here's what I want to ask: I did the Fires in the North quest, however, when I got to the spot (star shown on the mini map) where the Flame Keepers are supposed to be, they weren't there. I killed a couple of Gargoyles there and the quest was done. Is this a bug? I think I might have encountered some Flame Keepers before that and killed them. But aren't the Flame Keepers supposed to be at the spot shown on your mini map? Also, after I killed the Gargoyles (but before I left the area), I held down Ctrl and noticed that there are still more Flame Keepers farther away from me. Now I was really confused, shouldn't I have killed all the Flame Keepers in the area in order for the quest to be done? I mean, Usually if you are sent out to kill a certain type of creature, there will be no extra creature of that kind in the area. Also, why were there no Flame Keepers at the spot marked on the mini map?

They are supposed to be at the spot on the map.. Have always been there for me. As much as it's a pain i would try rezoning and go again. Good luck.

Did you start in Piken Square or Grendich Courthouse? Many times when I start in GC, either Hydras or the Gargoyles are killing them as I get there or as I am coming down the hill past those groups or Charr.
